Note the styling of these vehicles.  It’s interesting how our vision of the future rests heavily on contemporary design aesthetic.  A great example of this is the NCC Enterprise, check out a comparison over at bin.false.org.  Just as these vehicles no doubt looked futuristic to people of the 1950s or 60s and look quaint to us, no doubt our visions of the future such as Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica will seem naive 50 or 100 years or more hence.

I should post some comment…

..on these Retro Art pics I throw up on occasion.

A pet hate of mine are these brainless blogs that just collect interesting shit.  We all know at least a few.  All they do is ingest tasty morsels from around the Internet and regurgitate convenient snack-sized portions for us to nibble on at our convenience, providing no new flavors nor any original recipes for us to savor.

That said, guess I should at least be providing my own comment or take on these cool retro images I cream from other peoples efforts.  So rather than just regurgitate and regard the contents of my stomach proudly, I will from now on endeavor to at least finger-paint something interesting into it…

..next time.
